Looking for black sand in the uk

Hi all, I'm in the UK and I'm currently setting up the tank to get an axolotl. I'd really like black sand. Anyone know of a brand in the UK - or shop in London? The Pets at Home black sand is more like gravel. Thank You.

Hello, I get my black sand from Maidenhead Aquatics, it's origin is volcanic and it's fine not dyed either like that coarse stuff you see. They sell both expect to pay more for the sand. If they don't have it, you can order it in. There are so many MAs these days that you could drive to the next store. Good luck.

Thank you, Blackbun! I went and had a look in Maidenhead Aquatics but they didnt have any in stock, so in my impatience I've gone an forked out on caribsea black moon sand now. Looks pretty but £34 for 2 bags! That's what impatience does to you! :happy:
I havent got my axie yet as I'm now having temperature issues (just posted about this) 24°tank and 22° room temperature. Hows yours? It feels more like autumnal weather, so I don't get why its so high!
