This is a brilliant little Axolotl called Nobby (don't ask!!). He's such fun to keep and he is so friendly. He comes to the front of the tank to see me every time I go up to his tank. He has a friend who is Guppy the guppy, who he hasn't eaten yet. I am feeding him on river shrimps at the moment but he gorged himself on them and had to regurgitate some this morning. Yuk! Maybe I should put less in at a time! He had a floating problem for ages but it seems to have stopped now as I threaten him with solitary confinement in the fridge if he doesnt stop floating!! I heard that snails in the tank are bad for Axolotls but they dont seem to get him - he just eats them before they get big enough to do any damage. He does enjoy earthworms from the compost heap too and dried bloodworm. Anyone have any more tips? I think hes a girl in fact but its difficult to tell!
