Lights??

Hi HI
Well my tank is nearly set. Im looking for lights & read that my little aliens dont like bright lights. Would blue LEDs be too bright for them?? i found some lights on ebay but didnt want to get them incase. So i humbly ask for your advice :ufo:

LED's should be fine so long as your axolotls have somewhere dark to hide if they so choose. I've always used white fluorescent lights in my tanks and they don't bother mine at all. Likewise, you're not going to keep your tank lights on all day, everyday anyway. I would say sunlight is more of an issue (as obviously you can't turn that off), which is easily prevented by not putting the tank directly in front of windows or, failing that, putting shields around the sides. This can be done by simply putting dark card around the sides or even using a larger background image that can wrap around.
