There's pretty well no such thing as captive born or raised tigers. These came from Nebraska I was told which has overlapping ranges of barred, eastern, and blotched and that's not including mutants, so as far as sub-species goes, your guess is as good as mine

If this was from a few years ago, what happened? any update pics?

Sweet. I found a solid forest green one (no pattern at all) a few years ago in UT, I should have kept it.

No, my hopes were I could keep them neotenic and try to breed them. As terrestrials, tigers are about impossible to breed in captivity. From what I've read, in a neotenic form, they can be breed like axolotls. The trick is keeping them neotenic. When that failed I traded them so I'd have more tank space for other breeding projects.

Stunning resemblance to axie isn't it? No wonder so many get confused and can't distinguish them correctly.

yeah but leucistic or albino rigers are really rare. Evidence of this is how paris always goes out hunting tigers in tiger territory and never finds any albinos, if they were easy to breed in captivity chances are that the albinos would crop up more often since ther would be human intervention to make sure they survive, but in the wild an oddly colored animals chances are very slim, and lets not forget the other genetic anomalies that come along with such things as albinism.

as for keeping tigers neotenic i heard that it has alot to do with water quality food availability and temperature

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
