Here is a break down just to clarify.
We have many main color morphs.
Wild type(combination of yellow green black gold white, sometimes is black) with a gold ring in their eyes
Melanoid - these are black/grey/blue tinted. But melanoid means pertaining to looking black or something of the sort.
Leucistic - these guys are white with pink gills, black eyes with a gold ring in them.
White melanoid - same as a leucistic but lacks the gold ring in their eyes.
Albino - there are 4types of albinos.
Golden albino - has white eyes and gold rings, yellow and golden in appearance.
Pure albino - there is not much different then golden from what i can understand but these have the iridophores that create the gold ring and gold on gills etc but i think they may lack the yellow pigment? Someone correct me if i am wrong
Melanoid albino - which i think is what you are talking about. White eyes(can look yellow) no gold ring in eyes but the head and part of the body will have a yellow pigment.
Axanthic albino - these guys lack all pigment so they are white with their usual pink gills, but white eyes. Can be slightly pink but they do not have any yellow pigment, which is exactly what axanthic means.
So there are some variations to these.
Some call then "silver dalmations" which are light colored melanoids with dark colored spots all over them, they are cool looking.
Normal axanthics i doubt you will find much info on they generally dont live very long due to weak genes. But these guys are ultimately a melanoid with no yellow pigment, which i dont think youd be able to notice this.. It may make just a really dark melanoid??? Like i said there is minimal info on these guys.
Black wild types are really cool! They are black like a melanoid but have a gold ring in their eyes and gold specks on their body.
Then you can have piebald or chimera axolotls which are really nifty!
Oh and before i forget there are coppers which i would love to have one someday but they are hard to find in north america, i have seen somebody actually pick one up at the petstore in the us one time i was like you are super lucky! To me coppers look like a rusty wild type. Gold and light brown with a gold ring in eyes.
