My tank is now setup thanks to everyone helping me out. I really appreciate it.

I got 4 JFB last Wednesday.
3 of them have adapted to their new environment and spend most of the time climbing on plants or each other

, but one of them wont eat and spends all of its time hiding in a piece of floating cork bark. The only time I see him is when he comes up for air.

Should I be worried about this one?

One more question. Can I leave the frozen blood worms they don’t eat in there for a day so they can snack on them or should I take them out immediately after they are finished eating?

Thanks

P.S.
Can you believe what just happened in the House of Representatives?
Is this still America?

I'm not sure about whether you should be worried about the 4th newt. Maybe.

I would say the uneaten bloodworms should be removed in less than a day.

One of my pyrrhogasters acted in the same way, he was mostly shy and are now together with the others, it took a couple of weeks.

Both my newts are lethargic, but they do eat. If your little guy doesn't eat in a few days, try something new. Maybe he just doesn't want what you're feeding him. This really does happen

Try live foods, they never fail to cause a food frenzy among my newts. If that doesn't work and ur newt heep the hunger strike on for a 1 or 2 weeks, u may have a sick newt. All the best.

My newt died today

Should I medicate the other newts?

They all seem active and healthy?

If so what should I get?

So sorry to hear that. The newt may have been ill when u bought it and the rest may be healthy. I've such experiences too... I think u shd watch them closely. If they do start to stop eating then maybe u might wanna medicate em. Dun do anything if they are still feeding well and seem ok, the unneccessary treatments may do more harm than good. All the best.....

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
