Hi, I am fairly new to aquatic salamanders, I keep dart frogs currently and I was thinking about picking up a lesser siren for a display tank. I was wondering what the best tank size should be? and what a good substrate is? Thanks for any replies

I would use a ten gallon tank with a good filter. Lots of plants esp. floating plants like duck weed or water lettuce. Roots or drift wood fill the tank out. Bare bottom is suggested but you can use large river rocks and jave moss to conceal the absence of gravel. Good luck and get your worm farm started these guys are pigs!

Thanks a lot, the information is helpfull.
