This is their temporary home until the aquarium has sorted itself out... Am training them to eat from a bowl (Lemon just sits in it all the time...).

Yes I got them at the beginning of February and they were about 2 months old then... They eat like pigs and have grown quite a lot in the time I've had them...

Can't wait to get them in their new home, although I will miss looking after them so intensively and they usually sit in the front room with me in the evenings...

Lemon and Monkee are in their new home and doing REALLY well. I've been taking some close-ups but so far, I've only got some good pics of Monkee. Lemon's pics will be on their way!

I'm so glad someone has noticed their gills!!! I was getting worried that I had really *ugly* axies and kept checking here to see if anyone had made a comment about them! Their gills are massive and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing but they seem to be in fine shape and I completely love them!

Has anyone noticed Monkee's face? Is this "shading" normal on a leucistic? It looks a bit like a badger's markings to me (or I have a *very* vivid imagination... ;))

Btw, both Lemon and Monkee have had their first taste of earthworms (Dutch ones if anyone's interested...). Wolfed them down like there's no tomorrow... Had to cut them up with scissors though which probably did nothing for my karma... Ho hum...............................

Yeah the shading is normal. Some have more some have less some not at all. Some people call pepper markings I think. Monkee gets older they will get darker. I like them.
