I have live plants in my axolotl tank and wanted to upgrade from a regular florecent light strip and was wondering if LED's were ok or are they too much for axie eyes?

I am still very new to taking care of axolotls but am under the impression that keeping any light on consistently can be damaging and/or stressful for them.
I would recommend LED over fluorescent lighting for the indoor (or aquarium) growing of plants on a general level, mainly due to spectrum output. However, I don't believe that either would be particularly appropriate or accommodating to your axolotls.
You may be able to find some low-light plants that would thrive with just the ambient light in your room.
Again, I am very new to axolotls so take this with a grain of salt.

I put them on most of my newt tanks because they don't seem to generate a lot of heat and I am hoping regular light schedules might help with breeding.
