Laws in Different States

Hey guys...and gals.
Do any of you know of a resource that displays what caudates you can and can't have in certain states. I am looking to getting an axolotl or some type of salamander and would like to know if it is even possible to get certain ones in NY.

Yes, you need to contact your own state and find out the current rules.

At some point several years ago, Nate began assembling just such a list. He got through a good fraction of the states, but realized that the task was too daunting: it takes a lot of digging to get the full story for each state, and if we posted the information it would be outdated very quickly, as states change their regs periodically. Just too much of a headache to keep updated, and we don't want to be responsible for wrong information propagating.
