Hi one of my larvae has white fluffy stuff covering its mouth and gills, I thought it was dead at first but then I nudged it with a pipette and it kind of wiggled a bit:L it looks dead but I dont think i should poke it again... anyway does anyone know how to treat a larva with fungus? Or is it too young to be treated? I've heard of salt baths but I think they only for larger axies. The larva is approx 1-2 weeks old starting to get front limb buds, this one is the smallest out of all of them, I noticed it was smaller than the rest even in its egg and it was one of the ones that hatched later. I've completely changed the water in the test group ( 5 larvae in a petri dish, well 4 now) and moved the sick one in a container on its own. I'll take a pic of it and post it now.

Sorry for the bad pictures

Aw, so sorry to read. I think larvae are too small for water changes. They're quite vulnerable with their tiny bodies. I think a salt bath for adult size axies would just do more harm than good.
Maybe a teeny tiny amount of salt added to the container might have worked. Just a little bit.

Fungus, heat, stress and other problems are more dangerous to larvae than to bigger axies. I've experienced that before when the temperature went up in my room. Most of the larvae died in 1 day, the adult axies were fine. :(
