Pretty darn cool, Erik. Wish I had space for animals like that...sort of a hellbender-like niche.

They sure have a Desmognathus marmoratus look in their eyes.

Wow... A bit of a Pachyhynobius head and toes...

William-It was hard work-lots of begging and lots of money.

Nate-yes the eyes really remind me of marmoratus.

Totally amazing animals.

Hello,

this species is available in Germany for sale. They are sold as Ranodon shihi... Just found them on a page of a trader.

Best Greetings,

Kamil

Hello Kamil,

you ever tried to get some animals from this trader.
I´m sure not.
That trader you mean is not serious.

Greetings Ingo V.

Hello Ingo,

well - I know him personally as he is about 1h driving away from here. I've been there a few times - so I'd really be glad if you'd first ask and then publish such hard words. You know the video with the wise penguin? ("Wenn man keine Ahnung hat...")

Hi Kamil,

that is mystical, that no wholesaler have Liua shihi on the stocklist, but this trader you mean offer that species.

But you be right, I have to ask you first;-))))

Greetings Ingo V.

It's not - if the trader is his own importeur. And how things go, he is. So I can only remind you of that penguin...

Hi,

a trader who play hide and seek with his address and name cannot be serious.

But I`m sure, you know it better.
And for to clear any misunderstanding I mean this trader:

I edited out the link as this sort of commentary should not be posted here.

Hello Ingo,

I don't mean the reseller but the real trader who has the animals in his stocks and imports them. is just a reseller and seemed a little bit strange to me, too. A phone-call cleared all that quickly. By the way: I will meet the real trader on Sunday on the fairy here in Bayreuth. I hope with this statement is everything clear.

I edited out any references to a company as this information doesn't belong in this thread.

Hi,

o.k. I see it was a misunderstanding.

But I´m interested in which wholesaler you mean.

Greetings Ingo v.

Very cool animal, how do you keep this one? please post pictures of your setup.

Liua shihi! *Gasp* How on earth is this possible?

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
