I was wondering at what size I can let my little guys out on the sand so I dont have too keep them so cooped up in their little critter keepers. I have one that has hit the 3" mark (Maybe a little over 3" now) and I am wondering if its ok to let him wander around the tank until their morning feeding time. I still want it to eat off the sand until it's a bit bigger. I let them wander the sand for a few minutes when I am cleaning out their keepers of waste and worms, and they all seem to like it so much better since they have traction.
My other two are less than 3" so I am wanting to hold out on them.

5 inches is supposed to be the smallest you can put them on sand - it's all about the grain size compared to their digestive system.

It's fine grain play sand that I cleaned. I'll wait til he's bigger then. I feel bad because I see him trying to swim in that little tub but I dont want to risk him getting an impaction.
