Hello!

I currently own two axolotls, lovely and cute!

This post is regarding a matter that i found out recently.
Almost two weeks ago I bought a tiger salamander larvae in a local market (Where they had her in a very bad condition) So I like to think I kinda saved her.

I currently own a 200lt tank where i have my other two axies. After a process of quarantine where i held the tiger salamander in a separate tank for one week i decided to put her with the other axies.

This baby spends most of its time on top of the aquarium plants, very near to the top of the tank, I know that she should stay like my other axolotls in the bottom of the tank, I also noticed that when someone comes near the tank, either she tries to eat something invisible in the water or she just quickly swims to a hideout. I'm kinda worried because obviously something has the salamander stressed, maybe the other two boys have been terrorising it or something, I don't know. That's why I come to you guys.

Here's a picture of how the salamander looks, because currently i have no camera to upload photos.

Thank you!

It could be under stress due to "recent changes" (being in the market, coming to a temporary setup, now another setup). The presence of the 2 axolotls could also be a cause of stress. Impossible to say what is the more significant factor. What are the sizes of the 3 animals?

I would recommend keeping the tiger in a separate setup, if you can. It may need special attention in several ways: it may need to eat more (or more often). It may need to be hand-fed. It may be scared of the axolotls. When it reaches metamorphosis, it will have special needs in several additional ways.

thanks! is it possible that it may present neoteny? you know like don't metamorph and stay like axies. The other two are about 20cm and 16cm respectively, they're OK, no stress with them.
