Hi everyone. I'm not a member of the forum yet (I tried but something went wrong with my password).
Today I went over to my tank and couldn't see one of my axies. Then I looked in an empty bucket that was next to the tank and he was in there! I was horrified and thought he was dead but we put him back in the tank and he is alive!
I have no idea how long he was out of the tank for. Will he be okay? It must have been quite a fall as well as being out of the water. His gills were all curled up but now they are uncurling.
How terrible.
I usually have two glass lids on the tank but I smashed one by accident a while ago and didn't bother to get a new one cos I thought it wouldn't matter... I'm getting a new one now. The water is probably about 5cm from the top of the tank and he must have really jumped to get out.
Why would he have done that? I just cleaned the tank yesterday with the syphon...perhaps he didn't like me doing that or something...
Anyway...thanks for your help in advance
