i got a newt and i have had it in with my red ear slider. Well i went in there one time and he was acting sickly so i took him out and put him in another aquruim. he has gotten better since then but he has been in a corner for the past 2 days and i do not know what i should do. Help anyone?

Well xRuBeNx, turtles are very messy and newts are very sensitive to water waste. Make sure to change the water very couple of days with treated/aged water. I would give it places to hide and places to get out of water. What are the temps? What are you feeding it?

Just keep doing this and it should be fine. Its stressed out, it should have NEVER been in with your turtle. If the turtle would have eaten the newt, both would have died!

To reiterated what Mitch posted, your newt and turtle have very different temperature requirements. Newts need cool and a turtles optimal temperature is not conducive to a healthy Japanese Fire belly. When your newt recovers, please do not place it back in with the slider.
