About 8 weeks ago obtained 1 JFBN and 3 CFBN from work colleague who has had them for 5 years with no problems.
All well at first, but now JFBN not eating for several weeks, tho' taking great interest in the feeding antics of the greedy little CFBN.
He/she looks well, water good and cool, natural plants, hiding places and floating bark - tried frozen blood worms, earth worms, maggots, brine shrimp - all readily eaten before.
Any ideas? :confused::confused:

Try separating the japanese one (the species shouldn't be mixed).

Leave the food in for a while and see if it's taken (once separated); it obviously doesn't like the change. Was it eating ok before alone or was it being hand fed?

Yes FinkN, I agree with what Dipsydoodle said. It's really not advisable to mix those species, given the fact that Cynops Orientalis are sort of greedy when it comes to feeding them.

Just try to segregate the Japanese FBN into a different container/tank. Then attempt to feed it from time to time, when it's hanging out in the water try sinking bloodworms, when it's in land try to feed it with tweezers.

Good luck bro, keep us updated here.
