I am leaning toward it being a male, but I'm not sure!

Looks like a female to me. It still looks quite young, so keep an eye on it as it may change. Makes usually have quite large lumps that really stand out.

Yes, (s)he is still pretty young! I've only had him/her for 2 months and (s)he has been growing like crazy! Thanks for the input :)

How old is your axie? You can't really tell until they are 9 month or 7-8 inches.

I'm not sure how old Zuul is - I have had it for about 2 months and it is probably 4-5 inches long now. :p

In that case it's too small and young to sex accurately.

There's a very easy way to sex it. Is Zuul a girl's name or a boy's name? That'll tell you.

Really depends. I just rehomed my last four, at around 8.5 months, and two are obviously boys (especially based on their mating dance as soon as they were put together!): http://www.caudata.org/forum/f46-be...g/99127-axolotl-breeding-behaviour-video.html

I was able to tell the Wildtype was a boy almost 3 months ago. He's been over 8" since a while ago, now pushing past 9.5". Now the golden, his "man bump" appeared really suddenly, where there was no denying that he's a boy about a month ago.

The other two I assume are girls, almost no bump.
