hi guy just wanted to post a pic of my tank and filter setup as im new and dont know if my filter is the right type for our little axie and even thoew hes the new edition to the family we already love him and dont want any thing to happen.
main concern is the my filter pushes the water around and creates a little current in the tank. dosent seem to b to powerfull for him or cause any stress that i can see but im only new so i dont realy know what to look for as sighns of him bieng stresed out over it heres some pics thnx for any hlp :)

P.S We had a little prob yesterday to we accadently broke the glass lid to his tank we are gunna se if we can get another when the pet shop opens next week but should we do anything untill then?

add on

ok so after reading over this site and a little hlp from a friend of mine i think ive fixed the prob.

We set the filter up diffrently so that in now blows bubbles straight out of the tube (minus the s bend thing bthat hung out of the water) and pushed it right back in the corner so the flow hits the glass and spreads out causing a lot less movment in the water but alot more bubbles too. didnt want her to stressed out by the flow and at times her gills seemed a little to far forward so i hope this works il get a pic up soon. thnx

That seems to be an good idea, just keep an eye on your axie to make sure that she is comfortable, you will see when they are stressed if they are struggling to swim or hang on in the water then it will be time to look for another solution.

I don't know if anyone has said this or not- I just scanned the page.
Please change the substrate and get those goldfish out of the tank :/

Sounds like you got the filter sorted; Gills forward over their head is usually associated with too much water flow.
The pebbles you have for substrate are too small and could easily be swallowed, causing obstructions. Either a bare tank floor or playsand or pool filter sand as a substrate are suitable and safe alternatives. Sand will need to be thoroughly rinsed before being added to tank and allowed to settle for a day or so and your axolotl shouldn't be in the tank whilst this is happening.
Goldfish are likely to either be eaten or (more likely) cause a problem by nibbling on your axolotl. They are unsuitable tank companions. Axolotl's really are better kept on their own, or if you have a large enough tank (60cm plus) with another axolotl of similar size. Another issue could be, an axie and a couple of goldfish, equals a lot of bioload and you could well have ammonia problems.
Good luck. Let us know if you have any other questions :D.
