Is this filter okay for my tank?

I exactly have that setup in one tank. The filter is excellent and water quality near perfect. Just be sure to have enough water and the current will be almost non-existent.

This filter is very good for my ten gallon tank.

I was going to try to make a waterfall of sorts on to my land area. Not very high, and i dont need it to be running hard, just a trickle. Do you think the filters water out-put would be powerful enough?
 
You could also consider a Duetto, you can see when the filter media is dirty then change it, it has variable output, and you can connect a tube directly to the outlet and have the water fall you want. I have 3 of these filters, and love them but I don't have experience with the one you posted a link to.
