i have put a home made tank divader in my 3ft tank and there is two axolotls in there. The tank is split up in two one bit 2ft by 1ft long for a big axolotl which is 20 cm longs and the other part is 1ft by 1ft for an axolotl which is 7and a half cm long is this big enough for the little axie?

It will do for now but the little axie will soon grow, so you will have to find another tank for it until its big enough to go in with the other axolotl.

ok but

ok but when it grows im gonna interduce it to the big one.

Yes and when you do, just keep an eye on them for a while. When I first put my two together the older one was a bit freaked out by having a tankmate and thrashed about when ever the new one went near. Now they get on fine and share the same hiding places, but you have to watch them. Mine will try to steal each others food even though they are at separate ends of the tank when I start to feed . Another thing is don't be surprised to find the odd injury on them. Axolotls will grab anything that moves and that includes each other, especially at feeding time I find. The most common injury with mine is tail tips missing but they heal quickly.

Hi Ben Nominally an axie needs 18" of tank space per axie so 2 would require a larger tank. They need to be able to get away from eachother.
