Question: Is this an egg?

Sorry about the picture quality, I noticed this today sticking on the filter, there is only one and the axolotl is the only one in the tank. What is it?

Bit hard to tell from the focus.. does it look like the eggs on THIS PAGE?
If it were an egg, there would certainly be more than one.

How big is it? Do you happen to have any other critters in the tank, other than your axolotl (snails perhaps)?

How small is it? It almost looks like a limpet.

They definitely don't look like those eggs, Its just a bit less then a centimetre big. And no i have not seen any other animals in the tank.

Its really dosent look like any of them :/ Should I just remove it?

It looks like a bit of food that has escaped being cleaned up and gone rotten.

It looks like a pellet that has gone yuk. Do you feed your axie pellets? I would remove it...

This is a 3rd vote for fluffy pellet. I find them quite often during clean outs.

Just pull it out and get rid of it.
