A few days ago I bought another three fire belly newts but when I looked at them one of them was a lot lighter in colour than the other ones.It has been aggresive with the other ones and has bitten off one of the fire bellies toes. I have uploaded some pictures of it and i hope you can tell me if it is a paddle tail or not.

you have neither, what you have is a paramensotriton sp. i would post the pics in the paramensotriton section. unfortunatly i don't know what species you have, since the genus is pretty messed up at the moment but i think i'm safe in ruling out laosensis and deloustali.

Thanks alot!!,thats really helped me.

if i was to make an educated guess i would say caudopunctatus.

As Ralf points out, it is definitely P.caudopunctatus.

Its a male p. caudopunctatus (it has the spots on the tail = male)
