Hello~ I need advice/thoughts on a rock I got for my axolotl!!
I'm trying to decorate my tank so I bought a large rock, from an aquarium store, that I know is safe in size since it's way larger than an axolotl. The rock weighs around 4-5lb.... figured it might be nice if my axoltl wants to sit on it or something.
However, I just read that certain types of rocks aren't safe? Does anyone know what type to avoid? or which ones are safe?
The one I have is a smooth green/red one. It's called a Freak Rock (apparently) does anybody know if this is safe or not? I just got it yesterday and put it in my tank but, now I'm wondering if it should be removed from my tank.... though I'd assume an aquarium specialized store (Big Al's) wouldn't recommend a rock for my tank that is poisonous for an axolotl/fresh water tank.
The link shows what they are (was the only link I could find mentioning them)
