I have a hagen a896 elite sponge filter but I can't seem to find information anywhere online about how much water it is able to filter - do you guys think this would be okay with a 20 gallon tank with 1 or 2 juvenile axolotls? Here is a picture of what it looks like.
And if not, what filters would you recommend? I was looking at some hydor/azoo sponge filters but I like how quiet this one is and it doesn't seem to be much smaller or have less surface area than the others. (I modified it by putting a narrow air stone on the air outtake and it makes a world of difference. :happy
I have pretty much only used powerheads/submersibles before so any info on sponge filters would be appreciated.
