Question: Is my axolotl fat or female?

My axolotl looks really fat/rounded. it has dark tips on its toes so im pretty sure its mature. it is over a year old. if its this fat then am I to presume shes female?

From looking at that photo she looks like a HE to me. Maybe if you can take another photo that is a bit clearer.
