Is it safe now?

So i have been cycling my new tank set up using the old filter from the previous set up. I tested the water today, and pH is roughly 7.4 and alkalinity fits in the parameters, while the Nitrites and Nitrates are at zero. The temp is about 72F/22C. I want to put my axie back in his home, but don't have a way to test for ammonia. If i add him with the 2.5 gallons he's in now, from the old set up, do you think it would be safe? That way some of the old bacteria will be transfered with him to his new home.

why dont you go and buy a ammonia test kit? to really know you have to test all three (ammonia, nitrite and nitrate). how long have you had this new setup running?
