I am setting up a new 90 ltr tank and dont want to use stones or sand on the base. I dont like the bare floor either and saw that in a petshop one time they had a green moss/algae floor. Is it possible to do it with live moss and if so what type would be suitable?

I assume you mean an aquatic setup? Algae will eventually cover the bottom anywhere that gets some light. I've never seen any moss that would grow directly on the glass floor under water.

I've done some experiments with glued-down substrates consisting of dark silicone caulk with gravel or coco-fiber stuck to it. This works well I think.
