I have many axolotls babies right now and they are probably about a week and a half old (since hatching) And they are being very active. I was wondering if this activity is normal or do i need to do something fast to avoid losing them?

What they do is swim around and then float to the bottem. Some don't go to the bottem and they just keep swimming. Others also float up near the surface.

Any help is greatly appriciated. :)

Being active all/most of the time is not normal. Do they only do this when you approach (startled by your moving around), or all the time? Are they crowded - they could be responding to each other's presence.

It's not all of them that are active all the time. It's a select few. Probably 10. Maybe i'll move those active ones into a different tank. Do you think it would help if i seperated them rom the others?

is there lots of live food in with them, sometimes they are startled by the live food

I don't think that i have a lot of live food in there. I feed them brine shrimp so they don't live long anyways. Besides, it's only a select few that are doing it. I would think that if the food scared them they would all be swimming around.

is the food adult or baby brine shrimp

It's baby brine shrimp. I know the shells make in difficult for them, so they are decapsulated.
