Big news, while. Was looking at them in the dark under a flashlight I saw that the ones that were thought to be wild type had a weird yellowish color to them. It was then I realized that I had two different colored males in the aquarium, one leucistic and one gfp melanoid. I had a burst of hope because normally wild types sell for much less than the other colors. So I ran and got my backlight. When I plugged it in and turned it on I saw in amazement that the golds were a brilliant yellow-green. And the wild types had a yellow-green tint as well. So the "wild types" are probably melanoid.
