Recently I have been thinking about re-landscaping my tank. I have had a look at other members tank set-ups for inspiration, and I love the tanks with the brightly coloured sand.
I have a beautiful 3yr old leucistic axie called Guinevere, and I think coloured sand would make her stand out better in the tank.

First question is are the colours harmful if my axie accidentally eats the sand? And if not, where can I get some?

Help would be much appreciated,

Ash

I've used these and they are fine, just wash it well! I don't know about the gold and silver though, they weren't there last time but personally I would steer clear in case of little sharp additives

Great link Star! I was actually looking for the very same thing. I am in the middle of planning, then constructing a custom tank. Was hoping to fill the base with pretty sand. :D OMG PURPLE!! :p The sand will eventually stop bleeding during the washing process right?? And still retain its colour?

It only bled for 2 washes for me, after that it was just dust, dust and more dust!! I took 2 bags for a very thin layer in a 2ft tank. Was probably about half an inch thick at the most. It has retained its colour though, one of my tanks has orange sand in it and I mixed if with normal play sand, it has obviously dulled the colour a bit but it is still definitely orange!
