I'm sorry if that is a redundant question but was just curious if I could put a little snail with him

Not a good idea. It might become lunch. And if it is big and hard enough, it might cause problems after it becomes lunch.

Snails should be fine if they are small enough, just make sure it is smaller than the axolotls head, half the size or smaller. Soft shelled snails are going to be a lot safer as well, try to stay away from the hard shelled ones unless they are significantly smaller that the axolotls head. Because, as LSuzuki says, they can be eaten, and can cause impaction. For a beginner though, it is best to just steer clear of them entirely.

Well.. Boo. Thank you both for your responses I will just steer clear..
currently fish less cycling- reptile show this weekend, let's hope I find the axi I want :)

Check the for-sale section here. The axies I've bought here have all been very nice, and you can check out the rep of the seller. This is better shipping weather than summertime.

i havent spent much time navigating the site besides the forums, where is the for-sale section?
