Went to a pet store in Cardiff today and found these two poor devils in a tank full of Gourami's.

They don't seem to be happy campers at the mo, and seem to be a little worse for wear, but fingers crossed after a few weeks of tender love and care they'll be as good as new.
Funny thing is this is exactly how we got our first Axie Bilbo, She is now over 9 inch's long and fit as a fiddle.

wow....you got some great photos! I love all of them!
Ah...and I can't see the toe of their back legs...are they still too young to have some? I never seen baby axie in person!
Bilbo's cute...and you have a amazing tank!:D

Morrissey their feet have been bitten off - probably by the wretched fish that were in the tank with them at the store. Fortunately, they will grow back - especially now they are in such a beautiful home. Losing legs and feet is very much part of raising juvenile axies I'm afraid but in my limited experience these axies look old enough that they should be 'able-bodied'. I think my juveniles are about the same age and they don't bite so much any more.

All the best raising them Ricky.

These are my 18 week old juveniles Morrissey - feet and all!

Hi Deb R,

Thanks for the information! Your juveniles are so cute!:D...I only can find the adult one in the market here, I think my Olive & Oliver around 1 to 2 years old, but I can't imagine that they has been grow a lot only in few months!

Nice photo!

aw they look so tiny, small and helpless. Poor little guys. Good luck raising them back to full axolotl health, for they may look a bit sad but they sure are cute! It looks like you have them in a happy home, so that is good.

Can't figure out why they would be kept with gourami, that is just silly. *shakes fist at store*
