Introducing a new filter?

Picked up a new/bigger filter on the weekend for my axie tank and wondering the best way to introduce it without running the risk of crashing my cycle? Would it ok to run two filters in the tank for a few weeks? Or should I take the media out of the old filter and run in the new one?

What filter do you currently have and what one did you get? Usually you'll be fine just moving the media from one filter to another.

they are both aqua one but the new filter has two pieces of media whereas the older only has one..

I've have been in that situation recently, i ran both filters on the tank for about a month or so and once i felt the new filter was seeded i removed the other one. As your cycle is already established it shouldn't take long at all

I too have done what Tusken Raider suggested. Just run both till the new one is seeded.
