Yeah, regardless I'm still saving up for next year. I might even show up looking like Elvis

and give an inspiring and emotional rendition of "Please don't step on my Blue-Spotted Sals"

(I forgot to take my meds this morning)

How about renditions of "Love this slender" or "In the Pet Store"?

Good idea Ralf, and I'll sing "My Warty Left Me" as the encore.

I was their for part of the weekend. Ed could speak better about the entire event. The only caudates I saw for sale were 3 types of fire salamanders, 5 types of axolotls, and southern crested newts. I went to 2 talks but none of the evening lectures. I attended the talk Ed gave about amphibian nutrition. It was informative and I learned a few things. Don't overfeed a malnuourished animal. Hobbyists tend to feed more than animals requirements. ... The other talk was about the history of fern cases, wardian cases, aquaria, and terraria. It was interesting but I nearly dosed off.
I saw a few people from Caudata.org but not like last year. I think if the talks and schedule could have been publicised better on the IAD website it would have drawn a more diverse crowd. It was definately dart frog centered. Dendroboard people were their in force. Frognet seems to be fading a little.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
