Ive heard of inducing breeding by lowering the temperature considerably. My tank was at 24 degrees. how much should i lower it?

Ideally your tank temperatures should stay below 24 degrees as this is really too warm for them health wise.Below 20 degrees is good. I believe a drop in water temperature and daylight may trigger breeding. Mine coincided with me going away and I shut all the curtains to keep the heat out...upon my return I had a beautifully decorated tank.

Hmmm. i did try it. 5kg of ice only droppped it to 20. but alas, no eggs. Ill just have to be more patient i suppose. They only get 4 hours tank light per day, and i have water hyacinth covering most of the light anyway, so hopefully ill get a nice suprise like yours one day soon. x
