I have 3 salamander larvas (unidentified but assumed to be spotted salamanders) currently and they all seem to be impacted! The largest one is almost 2 inches long and the 2 smaller ones are close to an inch.
The symptoms are:
-Rear end floating which usually happens after eating but doesn't go away
-And small bumps in the belly of one larva.
When I first got them I noticed sand in my bare bottom container so they were probably impacted before I even got them and I fed them uncut bloodworm for the first few weaks or so which probably worsened it because I didn't know. They eat just fine. I feed them every 24 hours with mostly chopped up bloodworm and occasionally frozen brine shrimp. They definitely don't look fat but rather on the skinnier side but not too skinny. I have fridged them all multiple times before at around 7 celsius and took them out when they aren't floating anymore (1-3 days). I usually find poop after they have been fridged. But a day or 2 later they started to float again. I need advice asap for these little ones!
