I have 8 baby hatchlings right now, the first one hatched Monday night at some point the rest hatched Tuesday and Tuesday night. Not one of them has eaten yet, I am scared they are going to refuse to eat. I have put a few bbs in with them and also microworms, both of which are swimming right by their eyes and mouths and they just ignore it. The person I got them from said to do boiled egg yolk for them, but I am not sure on the specifics to do that. I just don't want them to starve, I want to have them live and thrive! I don't know what to do, are they still feeding off the sac, or am I doing something else wrong?

They should still be feeding off the yolk-sac for a few more days. I'd just continue with the daily water changes and bbs. :D

They would still be feeding off of that?! That seems like a long time, for the first one that is past 48 hours! And ok I will continue what I am doing and trying to feed them, we should have some daphnia too in a day or two. I am still open to suggestions! :) Thanks

How warm are you keeping them? The colder they are, the longer they'll go without food. Usually they start eating within 2-3 days or so.

Yeah temperature is really important in hatching

I am not 100% sure what the temp is at, I feel like it could be a little warmer, but I have turtles that like 80° water haha. I will have a thermometer tomorrow. What is an ideal temperature for the hatchlings?

I've been raising mine at about 55F. They're doing just fine. Keep them below 70.

My water temp is around 58-59F right now. I do think one of them has eaten though so fingers crossed it did and the rest follow!
