and you happen to check out the Field Museum(one wit the T-Rex in it, was the museum in the movie Night at the museum)
they have a really cool nature part that included illinois salamanders
ones I remember
Jefferson salamander
Spotted salamander
Tiger salamander
Mudpuppy
It was really cool there were a couple little fake logs on the ground and then you roll it over and there is a window and it tells you the name of the salamander and a little bit about it
and the mudpuppy was in a frozen over pond and there was a little viewing window
I just remembered about this and though I'd post about it, My family and I went there to see the King Tut thing last year, the Tut thing wasn't that great but the rest of the museum was really cool
