Identifying my newt

Hi, 5 weeks ago l brought 2 newts & was told they were called dog face newts. So far l have been unable to find any information. The look like fire bellied newts with the orange circles on their belly. Can anybody help?

The recent importations into the UK of dog-faced newts are Paramesotriton species.

They are most likely to be P.caudopunctatus or P.fuzhongensis.

Look at the postings in Common Names/Fire-bellied newts, you should be able to identify them from the numerous pictures there.
