Hoping these photos will post...
Found some albinos that will need a couple of hours travel to collect. What sort would you say they are please?
Cheers

Well the first one's a leucistic (not an albino) and a white albino. The last one might be melanoid albino.

It's hard to be sure without knowing the genotypes of the parents.

Thanks Kaysie
I included the photo of the leucy, to compare colours ;)
The advert said they were white, some with black eyes + some with red, but when I checked to make sure they weren't talking about goldens for the red-eyes, they got a bit confused + called their leucistics goldens (the mother is a leucy, the father could be either a leucy or an white albino, from what they've said). Just wanted to make sure they weren't goldens, in case my laptop settings distorted the colours ;)
I think last night I worked them out as being the 2nd or 4th type of albino shown on Axolotls - Genetics and Colour as I can't see any iridophores (tho maybe the photos aren't good enough to see if there were anyway. The only albinos I have are my goldens + the only whites I have are my leucies, so I'm thinking a couple of these would make a nice addition? ;)

If the parents are Leucistic and white albino, all of the offspring will be so as well; there will be no goldens. It's not genetically possible. That doesn't mean for sure they're melanoid though. Sometimes that doesn't come through in pics well. So yeah, good additions to the rainbow!

Yeah, I know you can only get whatever the parents are carrying the genes for, but I wasn't sure if the wrong labelling was calling the "white red-eyes" golden, or saying that goldens were white with red eyes (though I don't know how you could mistake a golden for being white). As long as they're some sort of white albino, I'm happy. Just trying to make sure I feel comfortable paying £25 each (including the travel costs) for a couple of juvies ;)
