I was wondering what is the optimal temperature for rearing larvae. In my basement they are at 58f and seem to be growing quite slowly. Thank you for any advice

My larvae grow faster in the summer in the basement when it gets to be about 67-70 degrees F. At that temp, sometimes I feed them twice each day.

They'll grow more slowly when it's cold. I raised this latest batch at around 65 (with dips into the 50's and spikes to 70), and they reached 2 inches with back legs within 8-10 weeks.
