I seems I was wrong about the newt being gravid. Today it had trouble keeping its tail end from floating upward. It was walking around on the 2 front feet with the 2 back feet in the air. He/she is not huge yet. I will take a photo and post soon. What can I do. Please help. He/she still is eating normaly. I quarantined it today in a 5 1/2 gallon. I will make shallow water in there with a gradient to land.

It could be constipation too. It has only affected his/her abdomin region. By the way the newt is a C.O. Should I just keep the newt on land and feed it and see if it clears up?

It's hard to tell from your description... how badly was the newt floating? Was it having difficulty submerging? It may be no big deal.

i had an NVV like this. the terrestrial thing works well, but let em have acces to food alot so he can get it unclogged. mine had been constipated i believe. she's(it's) fine now.

Ya it seems to be no big deal. He is in a 5 1/2 gallon right now and can stay submerged. He eats good and seems to be alright. I will continue the quarantine for another week just to make sure all is well before returning him to the others. Thx for the feedback guys.
