i recently bought a male axie and another female and i would like to begin breeding them. i also have some nice moss/grass stuff for the eggs to be laid and fertilised in. i need some tips or help in getting them to do the deed, if anyone would have some kind of tricks or ways of getting them to breed it'd be much appriciated.

apparently decreasing then increasing (could be the other way round) light can help- i read that somewhere... also once peoples axies start breeding they get stimulated by water changes so maybe lots of them may help...?

having said that ive got 3 males and a female and theyve been together for over a year now and nothing...

You'll need something flat for the male to deposit the spermatophore on. Most caudates have internal fertilization, not external. Using a piece of slate may work well.

Simulating winter, with cooler temperatures and lower light, and then increasing temperature and light may trigger breeding.

Why are you wanting to breed? Are you going to raise all 1000+ eggs? Do you have homes for all the offspring you plan to raise? Do you have money to feed them? Daphnia, brine shrimp and blackworms are quite expensive. It was over 7 months before I got rid of my offspring, and I only had 6.
