I think my axolotl might have gotten a splinter ...

So i was cleaning up my tank and accidentally spooked my axolotl and he ran right into a piece of driftwood pretty hard. The wood is pretty soft and I keep it scrubbed to keep it worn down but I noticed a dark spot right after on his face and think he might have a splinter stuck in his slime coat. I tried to brush it off but it didnt budge and was wondering if this is something I should be worried about. Theres no blood or anything and he didnt flinch when I brushed it which leads me to believe it didnt go in deep.

It might be bruise if you axie hit the would really hard but don't take my word.

I think it was just something stuck to his slime coat after he hit it. It took about two days but whatever it was is gone now and I dont see wounds.
