I found these in a bucket that had some water in it. I couldn't focus the camera to these unknown creatures but I drew them to the best of my ability:

Wait, so what was your question?

Re: I need this question answered immeidatly!!!

My bad, the question I need answered is "What could this possibly be?" , but I can keep trying to get a better focus on these things.

Go to Google Images and type in "copepod". They usually have only one eye, not two.

Nope, thats not it...

Just because if I can find out, the pet store will buy a lot of them

yes but you made it sound really urgent. like your pet was sick.

Gcollin please use proper punctuation. I am not sure what that is. I have never seen anything like it before.

It kind of looks like an overhead view of a daphnia to me, except it has a tail. Is this creature moving flat across the bottom of the bucket or is it swimming?

Google for Mosquito larvae images?

Thank you everyone for helping me out. They are Mosqito(dont know how to spell that) Larvae. Thanks Distefan. OH! Would these be safe to feed my Fire Bellied Newts?

Yes.

And I don't see the pet shop buying mosquitoes from you.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
