Hi everyone, my friend got my axie about a year ago and gave him to me around 3 months ago as she couldn't look after him. He's been great until I noticed a few red spots on his tail 2 days ago.. he's eating well and moving well I'm just concerned about these spots. Can anyone help me figure out what they are? I think I've attached an image but I don't know if I did it right haha I'm not very technical! Lol

Just looks like he's caught it on something in the tank, like if you get your finger pinched in something the blood will come to the surface and be more prominent. Looks like minor damage.

I can see you have small rocks on the bottom of your tank, would be best to remove these since Axolotls are 'gape-limited' predators meaning they will eat anything they can fit in their mouths, Axoltols are known to ingest gravel/stones/rocks which can cause impaction and death. Rocks of that size are edible and deadly. You'd be better with sand, large rocks bigger than the Axolotls head, or nothing at all.

Ah that's a relief! Thankyou so much for your reply. Oh noo I'll remove the rocks right away too.. as I said I'm new to this! I'll get the little guy some sand instead :) thanks again.
