haha mine has that arm thing too!!! i have no idea what it does. anyone know?

its an apple snail! and that arm thing is for syphoning air so something like that?
it was the first time ive seen this behavior and i had the camara!! touch!

do you have the apple snail with your axie? Apple snails like warmer waters.

Keeping your Apple snail with your Axie will be fine. I had one in my tank for a long time. It died, I guess from old age. I will be getting another one shortly. Some people advise against it, but it is nearly impossible for me to keep my tank maintained without one. I get bad Hydra infestations that frost over the glass if I don't keep one in at a time. One takes care of the Hydras and the little worms that sometimes come in.

I keep my water in the early 70 degree area because very hard to regulate the temp in an upstairs apartment to anything lower. the weather will get cooler soon. My apple snail was pink

what a cool dude!and they come in other colours!?!I want one!!I accidently bred ramshorn snails from 2 I got for my fishtank, and now have about 100 in a bowl I keep just for them, and now have 5 cone shaped ones that came with a plant I bought added to the bowl. They are all so small Boris will just eat them, but an apple snail could be good,
Sharn, being a kiwi too, where in NZ did you get yours?
Wgtn doesnt have much in the way of cool tank stuff

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
