Hey my name is Manuel and i just recived like 3 weeks ago 4 baby axolotls. I want to know what can i feed them? How to keep the acuarium? and all the basic information for them to survive

you came to the right place, there are a lot of knowledgeable people here, i'm just not one of them. just learning myself

if you got them 3 weeks ago-how have you been keeping them since, and have you fed them anything? not to be too blunt here, but this info is needed before you get some-or within the same day since they are aquatic animals - and water quality is very important to their basic health (bad water=death), there is a section of the caudata culture part of this web site will all the data.
you need to explain what you have been keeping them in since, how you have been keeping the water, if they are eating anything, are they loosing weight/being lethargic, are they eating each other (which will happen even with food available)..describe them (how old, what size)..etc

Ok... I have been feeding them some planton and a very little shirmp. I also tried to fed them worms but they didn´t eat that. I don´t give them to much light. the water is clean, but when move the stones, lots of dead little shrimp start to float. And they are looking helthy. And they are not aeting each other. But there are 2 that are growing faster than the others.

I wouldnt hose them together, I have read that they can nip at eachother's gills, and we wouldnt want that. What works did you try black worms could be an option.

Hey and Manuel, there is even a forum on this website that is specifically dedicated to axolotls and their care---good luck! There are great people here, and they know what they're talking about when it comes to caudata

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
