So uh, I got an axie (today)...but my tank hasn’t even been cycled, it was my fault and I’ve been looking on ways to keep this little one alive to grow.

I posted a few weeks back on ways to cycle, and prior to this I was prepared to wait, but I got some pointers from people telling me to get some feeder guppies to kickstart the tank, and so I did, they’ve been in the tank for at least a day or two prior to getting the axie, and they seem fine...I’ve tested the water every so often, ammonia is from 0-0.25ppm and today I tested it its about 0.25-0.50 at least...

this is the ammonia test I took prior

Heres the nitrite test I took prior

Heres the ph as well I took prior

The water is being chilled with a fan, it dropped to 20degrees, and I have an airstone in there for the guppies.

The axie was walking around and exploring their new tank, they were very curious and I fed them some bloodworms in the jar in the first image...I have an aquaclear filter and the plants in the tank are fake—I have had this tank running for at least 2-3 weeks and at the moment I’m very stressed out on what to do next, I already read any precautious measures to take with fish in cycling (I have a plastic shoebox ready for any necessary tubbing) I also did a siphon cleaning this morning. I’m just wondering what I can do to ensure the axolotl and gups survive.

EDIT: I may need to rehome the poor things, I have been informed my conditions are not suitable for the axolotl so I’m gonna try and rehome the poor fella

I'd say tub him until your tank is cycled. While he is in the tub do 100% water changes every day in the tub. You could keep him in there while it cycles but you have to be super careful if you do that. You would need to be 100% on top of your water changes. I know that you can keep them in there while it cycles from experiane. I was much like you when I got mine. Both of my axies lived through the cycling stage and are healthy. I have had them for almost 2 years. You don't have to re-home him/her. You can keep him if you try.

Yeah I’m giving them to my brother, and rehoming the guppies, we’ll take care of the axie together—so far I have been doing daily water changes every night, the axie gets a little jumpy but soon calms, they’re eating and pooping just fine and the temps are ok—they’re still a bby so they have enough room in their plastic shoebox and with one vase as a hide

Ok, I just wanted to make sure you knew that you had options if you wanted to keep the lotl.
